The real estate market here in Whanganui isn’t following the nationwide trend, which is the dropping of volumes of property sales by approximately 25%, in comparison to the same period in the previous year. Locally, Property Brokers sales are pretty much on a par with last year in volume, but are up nearly $1.5 million in dollar value. In July 2016 Property Brokers Whanganui confirmed 46 sales worth $7.8 million, with July 2017 seeing us confirm 39 Sales worth just over $9.28 million.
The Real Estate Institute of New Zealand have released their lifestyle report for the month of August, which states that the lifestyle market is continuing to soften further with 471 fewer lifestyle sales nationally for the three months prior to July 2017 in comparison to the same period in 2016, which is interesting.
